Wildlife facts, photos, and film clips of cheetahs, lemurs, seals, sea lions, owls, vultures, ducks, frogs, snakes, tortoises, giraffes, squirrels, otters, and other wild animals.I wanted to share some of the information I gathered during production from my research and interviews with the animal experts/keepers of Coyote Point Museum, Safari West, Lindsay Wildlife Museum, and The Marine Mammal Center. The clips are raw footage from my feature documentary, ANIMAL CRACKERS.The clips on this page require the QuickTime player which can be downloaded for free from the Apple website. |

Burrowing owls are among the smallest birds of prey. They received their name because live underground in burrows. They are also diurnal, which is good because they are probably too little to compete with the larger raptors. | ____________________________________________________________________________________________ |
Unlike the cute and cuddly looking burrow owl, Great Horned Owls are among the most fierce of all of the birds of prey. Their keen eye sight make them extremely skilled hunters by night, in fact, some call them "tigers of the night". | ____________________________________________________________________________________________ |
Turkey vultures are scavengers. Their heads are bald to allow the bacteria from their meals to evaporate in the sun. They also have a hole that goes straight through their beaks, enabling them to breathe even when they are chowing down with their heads completely submerged in a decaying meal. | |
