Wildlife facts, photos, and film clips of cheetahs, lemurs, seals, sea lions, owls, vultures, ducks, frogs, snakes, tortoises, giraffes, squirrels, otters, and other wild animals.

I wanted to share some of the information I gathered during production from my research and interviews with the animal experts/keepers of Coyote Point Museum, Safari West, Lindsay Wildlife Museum, and The Marine Mammal Center. The clips are raw footage from my feature documentary, ANIMAL CRACKERS.

The clips on this page require the QuickTime player which can be downloaded for free from the Apple website.

Black & white ruffed lemurs are anything but rough; actually their fur is extremely soft like a rabbit's. They are rowdy and very vocal. Their social calls can be heard from a great distance and allows them to find each other and define their territory. Working with them was like working with a bunch of very athletic kindergarteners- they loved to climb on me and all of my equipment.

A hybrid mallard duck is a cross between a domestic duck and a wild mallard duck. Some scientists think that they are a threat to the wild population due to their mixed genetic make up, but I wonder how different they are from a "mutt" or other none pure animal.

Ringtail lemurs are probably the best known of lemurs and easy to identify due to their striped tail. These cute primates like to sunbathe and store heat in an area on their chest that allows them to stay warm all day. Although the troops of lemurs are headed up by a female, the male lemurs will compete for second place by having stink fights. They waive their tails to spread the smell of their anal glands and the smelliest stinker wins.
